**Maintenance Technicians Needed for Upcoming Projects**
**Shutdowns: Short-term and Long-term Projects**
We are seeking multi-trade maintenance technicians to join our team. We service the greater Houston area as well as various facilities across the United States. In these positions, you will be responsible for maintaining industrial machinery, working either independently or as part of a team. Candidates should be versatile individuals capable of performing effectively on a variety of equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
**Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications:**
- Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field.
- Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus.
- Experience in industrial maintenance is required; corrective and breakdown experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented individual.
- Ability to learn and apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems.
- Positive "can-do" attitude.
- Takes responsibility for personal performance and can manage time and responsibilities independently.
- Contributes to team efforts by achieving results and meeting expectations.
- Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work rotating shifts.
**Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Duties:**
- Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Equipment and tools used include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, couplings, motor alignment tools, roller chains/sprockets, conveyor systems, and production machines. The ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications is essential.
- Identify the source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring tools.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, utilizing hoists, cranes, and hand or power tools. Strong welding skills are required.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Optimize maintenance resources by effectively utilizing equipment and supplies needed to achieve job results.
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling corrections for abnormalities.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
