Job Title: Traveling Field Superintendent
Location: Genesio, IL (project-based)
Project Duration: 24-26 weeks
Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced and reliable Traveling Field Superintendent for a $900k renovation project converting an old bank into a dental clinic. The work is interior-focused, and the project will span approximately 24 to 26 weeks. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in retail construction and direct management of on-site crews. This role offers competitive pay and benefits, with the opportunity to work on a rewarding project in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
� Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the construction site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
� Supervise and direct 6-10 laborers and subcontractors, maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
� Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and project specifications.
� Assist with carpentry and installation duties as needed, stepping in for hands-on tasks when required.
� Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
� Monitor and adjust schedules and work processes to meet project goals and timelines.
� Complete daily reports and manage documentation to track progress and address any challenges.
Compensation & Benefits:
� Pay rate: $40�45 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
� $100 per diem for daily expenses.
� Access to a company vehicle for work-related purposes.
� Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM � 3:30 PM schedule. Occasional overtime depending on project needs.
� A potential for travel opportunities to other sites based on performance and availability.
Requirements:
� 3-5 years of experience in retail construction.
� 3+ years of direct management or project management experience on completed projects.
� Willingness to pitch in with carpentry and installation work when necessary.
� Ability to live anywhere in the U.S., with a preference for candidates based in the Midwest.
� Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage and coordinate various sub-crews and laborers.
