Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Millwright for a project in Galva, IL!

TRAVEL, OVERTIME, PER DIEM!

PAY: $28-$32/hour (based upon experience)
PER DIEM: $100/day for days worked
HOURS: Shifts will be 10-12/hour workdays, 5 days per week (50-70 hours/week)
SCHEDULE: 7:00am � 6:00 pm
START DATE: 03/24/2025
DURATION: 10 days in Galva, IL, then long term in Iowa

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Agricultural Millwright to join our team. As an Agricultural Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment used in agricultural processing and production. Your expertise in mechanical systems, welding, and fabrication will be essential in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Assembly: Install and assemble agricultural machinery, including conveyors, elevators, processing equipment, and grain handling systems.
Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
Welding & Fabrication: Weld and fabricate metal components and structures as needed for repairs, modifications, and new installations.
Equipment Inspection: Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and ensure proper operation.
Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry.
Parts Procurement: Source and order necessary parts and materials.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Millwright or similar role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment.
Experience with preventative maintenance practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training or certification in millwrighting or a related field.
Experience with specific agricultural processing equipment.
Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with grain handling and storage systems.
Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
