Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Staff Structural Designer with 5+ years of experience, proficient in Revit and familiar with building construction in the federal market. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be a U.S. citizen due to the nature of the work. Experience working with the Navy CAD standards is a plus. Some travel may be required throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed construction drawings for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
Produce a full range of drawing production work, including design layouts and calculations.
Execute designs for industrial, manufacturing, and federal projects, including new facilities and facility modifications.
Perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling to develop engineering solutions.
Prepare structural calculations, reports, and documentation.
Interpret and apply design codes and specifications.
Organize and maintain revisions of project drawings and related files.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to resolve design issues.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor�s Degree in drafting technology (or related field) with 5 years of experience, OR Associate Degree with 6 years of experience, OR 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Revit is required. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation is a plus.
Strong knowledge of structural design, calculations, and engineering standards.
Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in federal building design.
Familiarity with Navy CAD standards.
Previous experience in criminal defense projects.

Interview Process:

First Round: Virtual interview with senior engineers.
Second Round: In-person interview.
