Job Title: Concrete Carpenter – Industrial Construction
Pay rate: $28-$34/ hour depending on experience, questioner and sparkhire will need to be completed before hourly pay is determined.
Location: Houston, TX
Shift: Likely working nights 6x10’s/6x12’s, shift may change from nights to days depending on site needs.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Concrete Carpenter to join our team for a large industrial construction project. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in industrial construction, with a strong background in reading and interpreting reinforcing drawings, tying rebar, building and bracing forms, pouring, and finishing concrete. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the successful execution of high-quality concrete work for a major industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Formwork: Build, set, and brace forms for concrete pours in various structures.
• Rebar Installation: Read and interpret reinforcing drawings to accurately place and tie rebar.
• Concrete Pouring & Finishing: Participate in the concrete pouring process, ensuring proper finishing techniques and smooth surfaces.
• Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate mini-excavators, skid steers, bull dozers, and other heavy machinery as needed to assist with site preparation and concrete work.
• Collaboration: Work closely with site foremen, project managers, and other trades to ensure efficient progress and adherence to project timelines.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial construction experience, with a focus on concrete carpentry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting reinforcing drawings and schematics.
• Experience in tying rebar, form building, bracing, pouring, and finishing concrete.
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards.
• Experience with operating heavy machinery such as mini-excavators, skid steers, and bulldozers is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Previous experience working on large industrial projects is highly preferred.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
