Job Summary:
PIC Group is seeking an experienced Construction Electrical Lead for construction of a new state-of-the-art 840MW combined cycle power plant project located in Utah. This critical role is responsible for overseeing all on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The Construction Electrical Lead will collaborate closely with contractors, engineers, and the construction team to deliver high-quality installation and integration of electrical systems and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Supervise and lead electrical construction activities, including the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
•    Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to plan and coordinate daily and long-term construction activities.
•    Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.
•    Conduct regular inspections of electrical work to verify quality, adherence to standards, and compliance with safety protocols.
•    Collaborate with the construction team to resolve technical issues and provide solutions to ensure project milestones are met.
•    Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to maintain project schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
•    Prepare and maintain documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, and punch lists.
•    Monitor and enforce adherence to safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe work environment.
•    Train and mentor junior electricians and construction staff, promoting continuous learning and development.
•    Support project close-out activities, including final inspections, commissioning, and turnover to operations.

Job Requirements:
•    Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems used in power generation projects.
•    Prior working experience with Mitsubishi turbines, preferably J class.
•    Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices, including NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations.
•    Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
•    Proficiency in managing subcontractors and coordinating multi-discipline construction activities.
•    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical challenges and adapt to project needs.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing operational demands.

Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and access confined spaces.
•    Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts as required by project demands.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environmental conditions.

Education / Experience:
•    High School Diploma required.
•    Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant college degree strongly preferred.
•    10+ years quality inspection experience, including managerial experience, with a degree, or 15+ years without a degree.
•    Certification in discipline (e.g., AWS, CWI, ISM) or relevant equivalent is strongly preferred.
•    Prior working experience with Mitsubishi turbines, preferably J class required
