Job Title: Pipefitters
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Pay Rate: $32-$36 per hour DOE + $100 per day per diem ($160 when traveling outside of Indianapolis)
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Pipefitters with at least five (5) years of experience fitting stainless steel pipes for TIG welders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting P&ID’s, isometric drawings, and spool sheets to plan, fabricate, and install piping systems. Industrial or petrochemical experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and understand P&ID’s and isometric drawings to determine the scope of work, materials, and dimensions required.
Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools from spool sheets.
Flame cut pipe to length, bevel, and clean pipes in preparation for fit-up.
Perform pipe layout, rigging, and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings.
Thread pipe using a threading machine and bend pipe by hand or with tools.
Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other workers.
Use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks.
Hoist equipment and tools into position using bull rigging or a crane, utilizing proper hand signals with heavy equipment operators.
Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Properly test piping systems for leaks using hydro-testing equipment.
Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
Help maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fitting stainless steel pipe for TIG welders.
Minimum of 3 years pipefitting experience in an industrial or petrochemical setting.
NCCER certification is a plus.
Ability to read and understand P&ID’s, isometric drawings, and spool sheets.
Knowledge of industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
May be required to pass a craft test.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $32-$36 per hour, depending on experience.
Per Diem: $100 per day for local work. $160 per day when traveling outside of the Indianapolis area (paid out for 7 days a week).
