Job Title: Fire Alarm System Repair Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm System Repair Technician to maintain, test, and repair fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings. The ideal candidate will ensure the proper functioning of fire alarm systems to maintain safety standards and comply with relevant codes and regulations.

Salary: $40-$55 per hour plus overtime

Location: Boston area and surrounding communities

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire alarm systems.
- Complete detailed inspection reports and document any problems.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train customers on the proper use of fire alarm equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Massachusetts issued Fire Alarm License F or B
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards, especially NFPA 70 and 72.
- Experience with commercial and residential fire alarm systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Travel:
- 100% regional travel in the greater Boston area.
- Work truck and gas card provided.
- Report to first service area from home and park truck at home at the end of the shift.
- On call rotation -- receive extra compensation while on call.
- Time and a half pay for overtime and answering calls after hours during the week.
- Double pay when responding during the weekend, 3-hrs guaranteed.
- Triple pay when responding during holidays, 3-hrs guaranteed.

Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with computer-based fire alarm programming.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to fire safety.
- Experience with different brands of fire alarm systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
