Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Technical/Procedure Writer (Part Time/Hybrid) opportunity in Carlsbad, NM at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).
Work Location: Hybrid
Business travel available for on-site trips
The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation’s only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.
Duties:
The selected candidate will support technical writing for WIPP readiness reviews. This position will be part time and on a hybrid work schedule. The candidate is required to be on site in December, February, and March. The assignment is anticipated to last through April 2025.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience writing DOE technical reports for readiness reviews is a plus.
Strong computer and technical writing skills is required.
Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be US Citizens.
