Title: Project Controls Specialist 2
Location: Cowans Ford Hydro Station - Stanley, NC 28164
Duration: 3 years
Pay: $53 - 60 based off experience
Notes:
Project Controls Scheduler. They are open to a senior level candidate if they have the right experience, but they would have to be strong in P6 and exceed the 5 years of experience required on this req.
Local Candidates Only -- Thursdays they have to be in Stanley, NC, the rest of the week will depend on what is needed from the other projects

Projects
Managing a Portfolio of Hydro Projects
$100 million+ of project work a year
50-80 project -- in various life cycles that they would be working on in a year
Background
Hydro a plus not required
Someone who has managed construction projects -- when this was previously opened they were getting a lot of bank schedulers that will not work
Software:
Must be well versed in P6 importing vendor schedules
converting MS projects to p6
Each project schedule is made up of activities including engineering design and deliverables, licensing, procurement and installation as well as integrating vendor schedules into project schedules. This position works closely with project managers and vendors to ensure dependencies are identified and requirements are known in order to start and complete projects and activities on schedule. Weekly meetings are held with each project manager to status and update schedule. Coordination of activities between multiple groups is required. This position also monitors all projects and activities to ensure milestone and delivery commitments are met and provides management with reports on schedule status. This requires proficiency in use of Primavera P6.
