We’re looking for a full-time, staff Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our Day & Zimmermann team.
Responsible for performing safe testing, commissioning and startup of completed mechanical installations to achieve the necessary plant performance in accordance with project requirements.
Support the review of system definitions and P&IDs to develop commissioning scoping boundaries. Prepare mechanical system startup and turnover plans. Coordinate with the commissioning manager and safety regarding alignment on the system boundaries and LOTO locations. Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and provide advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation in accordance with equipment manufacturers requirements. Prepare/execute the system for start up.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and assume responsibility for your area of commissioning.
As the Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, here’s the work you’ll do:
• Execute testing and commissioning activities in accordance with the designated site specifications. Contribute to or oversee the creation of comprehensive testing and commissioning documentation
• Administer and organize the activities of equipment suppliers' representatives during site startup procedures and oversee the execution of site accepttance testing to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards
• Monitor project progress, record all test outcomes, wittness final testing and acceptance of equipment and manage the compliation of all perinent documentation for inclusion in the comprehensive site test dossier
• Facilitate the transition of each system from construction, implement LOTO protocols and furnish additional expertise and technical support to enhance the comissioning process
• Ensure verification that equipment and system commisioning is complete and turn over to client/end user is complete
This role is for you if you have these skills:
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft software
• Ability to work independently, use problem-solving judgment and organize and prioritize work assignments
• Ability to conduct oneself professionally and with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality where necessary
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
• Full knowledge of engineering requirements for EPC Projects. The ability to read and understand project scope specifications, drawings and other technical documents
And if you have these qualifications:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 6+ years industry experience in mechanical commissioning
• Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education, OSHA LOTO Certification
• Professional Engineer certification preferred
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $87,000 - $131,160 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
