Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Cost Estimator opportunity in Eunice, NM at Urenco USA (UUSA) National Enrichment Facility.

Work Location: On-Site at Urenco
Per diem is available for those who qualify.

UUSA, operated by Louisiana Energy Services LLC, is the only commercial uranium enrichment facility operating in the US, and is located in Eunice, New Mexico.

Work Location: Eunice, NM
Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
Travel Required: This role requires the mobility to work at any Urenco Group operating location for periods of time with travel of up to 50%
Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance

Summary of Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to ensure adequate and consistent standards in project cost estimating in Urenco’s project portfolio.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred.
Certification from ASPE or similar organization preferred
10+ years estimating experience.
Estimating experience on nuclear projects is a plus.

Primary Functions
Actively promote a pro-active safety culture throughout the project lifecycle and organization.
Responsible for the project cost estimating framework specific to the organization.
Ensure alignment between the business objectives and the project cost estimating standards.
Ensure alignment between contractual requirements and project cost estimating standards.
Active participation in assurance reviews, reporting to COO /CTO level.
Maintain an overview of all Cost Estimators skills and competencies and provide development of project support resources both contract and staff.
Be a technical expert for all Cost Estimating issues and concerns at all Business Units.
Approval of exceptions and deviations from standards.
Quality control of project controls deliverables.
Integrate with various Group Project functions.
Ensure Urenco’s commercial position is robustly protected and improved through the application of industry good practice in project cost estimating.
Leverage experience from a number of industry sectors and continuously scan the international market for good practice, analyzing developments and assessing how they can be exploited by Urenco to further value creation/delivery/capture/protection.
The role will ensure knowledge is retained and transferred inter-Urenco and undertake lessons learned reviews to promote continuous improvement in all project control practices.

Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
