Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager opportunity in Smyrna, TN.
Per diem is available for those who qualify
RESPONSIBILITIES
Track and forecast project-level financials and report out to executives at regular intervals.
Coordinate with field supervisors and foremen, fabrication shop foremen, VDC/CAD/Detailing personnel, project engineers and project accountants.
Produce and manage project schedules.
Change management: assemble estimates, budgets, and proposals.
Manage subcontractors and vendors.
Negotiate contracts.
Attending project meetings.
Mentor subordinates
Manage client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction and prospects of future opportunities.
Skills Required:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Display sound judgment, diplomacy, and tact.
Technical skills: interpreting drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
Manage time effectively.
Learn and adapt quickly.
Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in project/construction management, engineering, or equivalent education in area of expertise with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in Project Management or Program Manager
In lieu of a degree, 7 to 10 years of experience in parallel scopes of work as a supervisor/superintendent/Field Work Supervisor that included documentation, specifications, planning, and management within the DOE, NNSA, or Nuclear Fields.
Experience:
Candidate should have experience in managing large projects of more than $30 Million and managing over 150 personnel.
Candidate should possess sufficient background, knowledge, and training in Project Management over Mechanical, Duct, Piping and Electrical scopes of work.
Display diplomacy and tact in collaborating with a wide variety of colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
Department of Energy, NRC, or Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program experience preferred for other future projects but not required.
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all departments and customers on the phone and in person.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.
