[ Back ] [ The Roadtechs General Construction Job Board ] [ Help ] [Edit ] [Mark Position Closed ]

APS Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Field Engineer for a 6 month project that could go longer at an LNG facility in the southeast. This is a structural/civil effort that reads like a logistics coordinator, but don't be confused. This person, although they don't need to be a high-level plant guy, still need to know what they're looking at with a P&ID and have a good general sense of where things go in a typical plant environment.

Position Title: Mechanical Field Engineer
Pay: TBD
Schedule: 13 days on 1 day off. 10 hour days.
Per Diem: Included in the package
MOB/DEMOB: Included in the package.
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months

Please send an email to esimon@exploreaps.com for details regarding pay, lodging, mob/demob, and plant specifics.

Job Qualifications:
Good mechanical background and understanding (but doesn't have to be a high-level mechanical guy).

NEEDS to be very computer-savvy and detail-oriented.

This is mostly a civil/structural effort more so than mechanical (i.e., structural steel, ductwork, stack construction, etc.).

Main focus will be on parts tracking, materials requisitions, building and maintaining parts, inventory and materials books.

Must be able to read and interpret P&ID's and other construction drawings; know which one to go to in order to verify correct and accurate installations, perform walkdowns, etc.

Be able to reconcile installed parts and materials against required quantities and availabilities onsite.

Oversight of site laydown yard (major parts storage area).
