[Safety Manager] Site Safety Manager - OH - 8630

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Site Safety Manager opportunity in Columbus, OH.

We are seeking a self-motivated Site Safety Manager to coordinate and administer Site Safety Programs for compliance with federal, state, local and company safety and occupational health standards and procedures for a project in Columbus, OH. This position will provide safety resource support for assigned operating units including training and permitting. Additional duties will include leading or participating in incident investigations, emergency response, conducting site inspections (track all corrective actions to closure), performing job safety analysis, maintain jobsite/specific documentation, and carrying out any additional assignments deemed appropriate by the Health & Safety Manager. They must provide overall Safety and Health Leadership to ensure all employees return ‘Home Safe’ each shift.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or relevant professional certification such as an Occupational Health Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Safety Health Technologist (CHST), from the Council on Certification of Health, Environmental, and Safety Technologists (CCHEST) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BSCP).
Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the construction environment where 100% of the position’s day-to-day job functions entailed safety, health, or environmental protection
Working knowledge regulatory requirements related to safety and industrial hygiene in a construction environment
A Certificate of Completion from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Outreach Training Program for OSHA 500 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry.
Strong computer knowledge and skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Strong tracking and follow up skills

This position requires the development of a close and effective working relationship with the project team, including but not limited to frontline workers, field supervision and department management. The ideal candidate must have a strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and demonstrate knowledge of risk, liability, and safety management.
