Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Pipe Welders for projects located in and around San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $36/hour based on experience & skill level plus $150/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site.  If you are a Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

Weld shell plating, fabricated cast, or forged components according to specifications for vessels, tanks, or other structural assemblies
Weld a variety 0of metal surfaces or pipe using various types of welding equipment 
Set up tools, welding equipment, & supplies at job site
Burn pipe or penetrations
Tack & weld pipe
Clean weld area; sweep & remove scrap 
Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

5+ Years of Recent Shipyard Experience 
3+ Years of Welding Experience
Knowledge of Welding Procedures & Various Types of Welding Equipment
Proficient in Flat, Vertical, Overhead, & Horizontal ARC, SMAW, & Fluxcore
TIG Welding & Air ARC Skills 
Must pass Weld Test 
Ability to work at heights & in confined spaces 
Availability to work Any Shift as needed
OSHA 10 Maritime Firewatch Certification & Respirator Fit Test
Must pass an 11 Panel Drug Screen
Must be a US Citizen, Naturalized Citizen, or Permanent Resident
Must have Copper, Nickel Experience
