Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for future Project Specialist opportunities in Lemont, IL to support Argonne National Laboratory.

Project Specialist
Project Specialist support personnel are responsible for managing decontamination and demolition projects including but not limited to:
Plan and direct Waste Management project activities in support of the Office of Project Management and other customer divisions.
Work under normal supervision to develop, implement, and track to completion various decontamination, demolition, and other waste related projects.
Primarily responsibility for successfully managing the project scope, safety, and schedule for all project phases for medium size projects.
Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, codes and standards as applied to the decontamination and demolition of research facilities and related equipment.
Knowledge of project management principles and demolition practices including earned value techniques for budget and schedule control.
Preparing the design specifications, estimating the cost, and managing the decontamination and/or demolition of structures and systems.
Technical direction and supervision, oral and written communication, and maintenance of effective work relationships with others.
Ability to achieve designated project goals and some knowledge of other related engineering disciplines.
Project implementation, cost estimating, cost control, and waste processing within Department of Energy requirements is desirable.

General Qualifications:
Qualified personnel shall have a strong knowledge of and technical implementation skills in their discipline area.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to use a personal computer (including standard office software applications and material/waste tracking databases) are required.
When required, personnel shall have field experience working in areas where radiological and chemical materials/wastes are used and around heavy equipment.
