Responsibilities include:

Manage all aspects of capital projects ensuring all information is included, as well as contractor quotes, drawings, presentations, financial evaluations, and other relevant documents.
Build, maintain and track accurate project schedules and budgets; prepare expenditure summaries and other reports as required
Coordinate with Process Engineers path forward on project and contracting strategy
Define project scope based on opportunity and objective of project owners.
Determine most efficient way of overall project execution including all bidding activities
Manage contractors during detailed design phase, ensuring all proper procedures adhered to and documentation is complete for IFA and IFC phases
Run/coordinate IFA reviews with all relevant input.
Able to track field progress during installation of projects
Assure compliance and timely project approval
Build and develop trust and business relationships vital to the success of capital project submission, review, and timely approval. Maintaining communication with Project Owners
Drive project approvals
Provide data to assist in preparation of the site capital projects annual budget and capital projects multi-year budget
Manage and drive timely project closures and ensure proper asset capitalization in accordance with Stepan Guidelines
Create executive reports to communicate key information including budget, project approval summary, and capital project projections to stakeholders
Create recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful capital project and procedure elements for continuous improvement and value creation for Stepan Millsdale
Provide support with internal and external resources for definition and application of best technology for capital project process innovation and system unification for Stepan Millsdale
Responsible for overall project safety

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
10+ years’ experience
Previous project experience
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Ability to perform multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
Excellent troubleshooting and computer skills as well as a team player with the ability to make sound decisions and drive project excellence
SAP experience preferred but not required
