Fire & Life Safety Inspector

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Conducting inspections of all finished electrical Fire/Life Safety
The inspector will perform 6-8+ inspections/day
Scope of work is includes plan review of 8400 plan sheets due to seeking occupancy
Testing sprinklers, alarms, emergency lighting, etc
When not inspecting they will be helping to ensure accountability of documentation (using iPads with inspection software)
Industrial oriented work (could be connections to boilers or pumps)
Power Side: Could be medium voltage down to low voltage work, likely not to go below 12 voltage size )

Experience Required:
- ICC-E2 certification is required to work as an electrical inspector in the state of Texas (Exam is Commercial Inspector- B2, E2, M2, P2.xlsx (iccsafe.org)
- Experience working in power distribution, semiconductors or industrial manufacturing preferred
- Need to be knowledgeable with International Building Codes (IBC) and most importantly NFPA (Life Safety Code)
- Experience performing electrical inspections is helpful/preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and SOFT SKILLS
