Requirements:
Experience in administering and managing Linux systems at scale, including:
Expertise with networking design, implementation, and operations
Proficient knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies
Advanced knowledge of various infrastructure methodologies such as security, name services, and so on.

Education:
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 12 years related experience.
Preferably a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.

Summary
LANL is undertaking a software delivery transformation initiative utilizing both modern cloud platforms and DevSecOps practices - using modern tooling. As a core part of the initiative, the Platform Team is responsible for providing software delivery as a service to developers across the institution.

Engineer with proven/documented experience in DevOps and/or Platform Engineering. The primary objective of this position is to help shape the platforms and modernize enterprise software delivery across LANL using zero-trust principles. Ideally, the successful candidate will have led or participated in a previous DevOps transformation to cloud or platform engineering.
