Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Control Planner opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN to support UCOR.

Citizenship: United States Citizenship Required

UCOR is the lead cleanup contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE) Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facility Management or other relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience:
2-8+ years directly related experience
Experience with type I work planning desired
Familiarity with procedure writing desired
Familiarity with established policies, methods, and practices of the Company strongly desired.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under close supervision and guidance, the Work Control Planner plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Assists in preparation of work packages
May participate in planning meetings
Assists with preparation and tracking of work order development in support of assigned field activities.
Assists in preparing work documents authorizing maintenance and calibration.
Assists in prioritizing estimates and establishing man hours needed for work package development.
Supports miscellaneous and work control planning activities as required by manager.
Completes work assignments with a high level of quality and personal accountability, displaying strong skills in communication and building relationships.

Work Control Planner III – Level 3P
Level Specific Scope and Responsibilities:
Prepares work package
Participates in effective - results driven planning meetings
Assists with preparation and tracking of work order development in support of assigned field activities.
Assists in preparing work documents authorizing maintenance and calibration.
Assists in prioritizing estimates, and establishing man hours needed for work package development.
Supports miscellaneous and work control planning activities as required by manager.
Completes work assignments with a high level of quality and personal accountability, displaying strong skills in communication and building relationships.

Work Control Planner IV – Level 4P
Level Specific Scope and Responsibilities:
Under moderate supervision, serves as an experienced Work Control Planner in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area of assignment.
Prepares work package
Participates in effective - results driven planning meetings
Prepares and tracks work order development in support of assigned field activities.
Reviews and analyzes work documents for proper classification, priority, and description.
Prepares work documents, authorizing maintenance and calibration.
Assists in prioritizing estimates, and establishing man hours needed for work package development.
Completes work assignments with a high level of quality and personal accountability, displaying strong skills in building relationships, communication and motivating others to work together.
