As a Commercial Sign Installer with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support a sign manufacturing and installation company throughout the Houston, TX area. This unique job requires the tradesperson to have 1-year minimum of experience as a Stick Welder AND a Licensed Electrician.

**Pay Rate for this job is $25-$35hr DOE
**Work 60-80 hours a week and hotel and gas are covered by the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Hours: are 60-80 /wk. and hotel and gas are covered by the company.
MUST have One Year Minimum of experience as a Stick Welder AND a Licensed Electrician. ( no exceptions )
Review the blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation.
Weld using mostly Stick, and some MIG, to install the signs which consist of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Connect wiring for electrical components of the signs and perform any troubleshooting if needed.
Work at heights of up to 63? in the air while harnessed in on a crane truck.
Troubleshoot problems and issues while on the job site for an install.
Work with your team to solve problems and complete the job as safely as possible.
Follow all instructions, both oral and written, given by the site supervisor and assist other tradespeople as needed.
Complete all necessary safety and training meetings and courses to stay compliant.

Qualifications & Experience:

Be at least 18 years of age
MUST have ONE Year Minimum of BOTH Stick Welding AND as a Licensed Electrician
Current/active TDLR Electrician license. Current/Active Stick Welding Certification
OSHA-10 Certification is a HUGE PLUS (not required)
Ability to perform Stick welding on steel and aluminum
Ability to connect and terminate wiring for electrical components.
Must be willing to travel all over Texas and out of state for 30-45 days at a time.
You must own all your hand and power tools and can bring them with you. Any specialized tools will be provided by the company.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Prior experience in the Commercial Sign Installation field preferred
Prior experience using a crane truck or having a Class A or Class B CDL is a HUGE PLUS!
The position does require a drug screen
