MEP Manager (Construction)

Location: Baltimore, MD
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $125k - $175k

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Manager to join our construction management/general contracting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of MEP systems in construction projects, ensuring the successful integration and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. The MEP Manager will play a key role in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

� Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive MEP plans.
� Ensure effective communication and coordination between different MEP disciplines to avoid conflicts and ensure seamless integration.
� Develop and manage budgets for MEP systems, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project financial goals.
� Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality.
� Implement quality control measures for MEP installations to meet industry standards and project specifications.
� Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.
� Lead and manage the MEP team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-performance levels.
� Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the MEP team and with other project stakeholders.
� Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of MEP subcontractors and vendors.
� Evaluate and monitor the performance of subcontractors to ensure they meet project requirements and deadlines.
� Identify potential risks related to MEP systems and develop mitigation strategies.
� Proactively address and resolve issues to prevent delays and cost overruns.
� Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.
� Provide regular progress reports to project management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

� Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
� 5+ years proven experience as an MEP Manager in the construction industry.
� Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
