Title:                  Director – Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Services

Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an excellent opportunity for a Director – Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Services to lead and oversee O&M contract compliance across multiple facilities. Reporting to the VP of O&M Services, the Director – O&M Services will ensure strict adherence to company EHS policies, site regulatory programs, O&M Standards and HR policies. This role provides leadership to Plant Managers and the O&M team, focusing on maximizing plant performance, optimizing contracts, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The Director – O&M Services will also play a key role in supporting business development, budgeting, and financial forecasting, while maintaining long-term, sustainable operations. This position may require you to work extended hours including weekends and holiday, as necessary. Extensive travel to PIC headquarters in Atlanta, customer corporate offices in the region and power plant locations will be required to support plant business activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Provide leadership and management oversight to Plant Managers and O&M team members.
•    Represent the company in a professional manner during all interactions with plants personnel and project Owners.
•    Ensure all Company safety policies are in place at each project and that overall safety program performance is meeting expectations of all stakeholders.
•    Ensure environmental compliance of all permits, regulations, and laws associated with each project.
•    Oversee contract performance at each project. Take actions to ensure that the Company is meeting all contractual obligations and advise management on adverse situations as they arise.
•    Ensure the performance at existing contracts are optimized and that PIC is meeting Customer expectations.
•    Maintain a sustainable, profitable, and long-lasting business within the region.
•    Help the Sales team grow the overall PIC business in the region for all company services with a strong focus on establishing long-term contracts. Support contract negotiations to protect the interests of PIC and to ensure that work scope and cost models are properly aligned.
•    Prepares, approves, and administers annual budgets and financial forecasts.
•    Interface with new and existing customers to improve visibility to PIC and promote PIC services.
•    Ensure timely and transparent communications to all existing and prospective customers.
•    Advise PIC Senior Management of any new developments that may affect regional financial performance, schedule compliance, customer relations, public relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
•    Prepare periodic reports as required.
•    Confers with management and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions. 
•    Provide a safe working environment for all employees within the Business Line.
•    Performs other related duties as required and assigned. 

Job Requirements:
•    Solid Leadership skills with a minimum of 10 years power generation industry experience and 5 years of corporate management experience.
•    Extensive experience in the use of personal computers and numerous software applications such as Excel, Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
•    Ability to productively work independently.
•    Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively organize and facilitate process teams to implement facility improvements.
•    Ability to write technical reports, correspondence, and procedures.
•    Ability to handle quick changing situations under stress and to work extended hours on short notice when required.
•    Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
•    Ability to work well with a diverse workforce.
•    Maintain professional demeanor and ability to interact with regulatory agencies, plant personnel and owners
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
•    Duties require walking, standing for extended periods of time, crawling, stooping, sitting, climbing vertical and inclined ladders and stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. Exposure to extreme heat and cold.
•    The frequent use of protective equipment (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, etc.) may be required.

Education / Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred. 
•    10+ years of power generation experience required. 
•    5+ years of management experience in power plant operation with at least 2 years as a Plant Manager. 
•    Experience in O&M Contract Management and oversight is preferred.
