Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Management Consulting Support Specialist opportunity in Richland, WA to support DOE Hanford.

Organization: Hanford Chief of Staff (HCS)

Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy government offices, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA.

SCOPE OF WORK
The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office requires general support services for the Hanford Chief of Staff (HCS). HCS to provide support in the following areas:

May provide support in the following areas:
Utilize specialized business operations experience to conduct tasks with minimal supervision.
Analyze current processes and make recommendations for process improvements to gain efficiency and provide consistency between organizations.
Support time-sensitive requests for information from regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
Develop metrics and reports for senior management analysis and decision-making.
Provide system support and quality checks as needed to ensure data integrity across HFO tracking systems.
Communicate effectively with all levels of contractor and federal personnel, locally and at the HQ level.
Provide support to other areas of the organization, as requested by the Chief of Staff, to ensure that critical mission needs are supported.
Advise the HCS management team of work progress, new issues, concerns, and other areas of significance. Provide recommendations to resolve challenges and issues.
Support the coordination of HCS’s objectives with senior management, as well as multiple organizations and disciplines at Hanford to ensure necessary interfaces are in place for safe and compliant Hanford operations.
Provide assessments and/or reports on a weekly or as-needed basis.
Follow-up on issues, findings, and other areas of concern.
Maintain action tracking systems or provide improvements as required.
Participate in meetings as determined by the HCOS office.
Administer annual KPG status and reporting systems and assist in routine briefings.
Support DOE in the identification and execution of key events geared toward Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to foster awareness and interest in local school children.
Lead and support various activities and initiatives focused on further advancing the One Hanford office, including post-transition events.  These activities and initiatives should be designed to break down historical fractions and develop a cohesive, single identity.
Assist in the development of various employee award documents submitted by the Chief of Staff or the Manager or Deputy Manager.
Advise the Chief of Staff on upcoming events associated with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, working with the EEO Manager, and supporting the execution of these events locally.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education – BS/BA degree in a business or engineering field of study either obtained or actively in pursuit. A combination of higher-level education and at least 2 years relevant Hanford experience, may be considered in lieu of the degree.
Minimum of two years of experience in supporting dashboard development and maintenance of project/program management performance tracking.
Expert knowledge of Hanford Site’s Contractor Assurance System (iCAS).
Expert knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and/or other MS Office tools.
Proven technical support skills, on-site experience at Hanford, education, and knowledge to satisfy the stated DOE Hanford needs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
Expert knowledge of DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.
Demonstrated expertise utilizing DOE’s integrated systems to assist in the development of ad-hoc reports for analysis and decision-making.
Broad business experience in applying analysis techniques, performing various types of reviews, and developing process improvements.
Broad experience in supporting organizations with tracking, monitoring, assessment, review, and coordination efforts.
Proven ability to interface successfully with senior-level management.
Ability to work with government and contractor personnel to problem solve and formulate strategies for success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $80,000 to $140,000 annually.
