[Superintendent] Electrical Superintendent (Material Handling)

Purpose
The Electrical Superintendent oversees the installation, adjustment, repair, and maintenance of material handling systems, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards. Additionally, they provide leadership and supervision to electrical technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve project success.

Responsibilities
-Install power supply wiring and conduit such as EMT, Rigid conduit, strut, and cable trays.
-Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
-Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, and conveyor systems.
-Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
-Test electrical systems for compatibility and safety using ohmmeters and voltmeters.
-Inspect systems for hazards, defects, or code compliance and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
-Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, locate the cause of breakdowns, and correct issues.
-Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different geographic regions or states.
-Monitor project spending, from budgetary projections to final analysis, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
-Mentor and develop potential future leaders within the team.
-Supervise and manage large teams of more than 15 workers at job sites, maximizing productivity while maintaining safety and morale.
-Select appropriate subcontractors and independent contractors, overseeing their work and addressing any challenges.
-Conduct staff evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
-Lead by example and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
-Implement projects according to ASBECO Job Layout Procedure and ensure adherence to work rules and customer requirements.
-Interface with customers to provide project updates and address concerns.
-Maintain accurate project documentation and safety standards, including daily safety meetings and reports.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
-Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly identify and solve problems.
-Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and plans.
-Ability to work under pressure and coordinate diverse teams effectively.

Education, License, and Experience:
-Some college education preferred; Licensed electrician certification preferred.
-Minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience in electrical installation for material handling systems.
-Willingness to travel 100% and reliable transportation to job sites.
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage projects, and follow directions.
