[Electrical Technician] Electrical Journeyman (Material Handling)

Purpose:
The Electrical Journeyman ensures the safety and efficiency of electrical systems within material handling environments through proficient installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair. This role contributes to project success by upholding safety standards, ensuring system compatibility, and facilitating smooth operations of electrical systems.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating technical aptitude in installing power supply wiring and conduit, including EMT, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable trays.
- Conducting troubleshooting of electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as switchgear, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, and conveyor systems.
- Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits using devices like volt/ohm meters to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or compliance issues with codes.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct breakdown causes.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

General Skills:
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Skillful use of test meters and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education, License, and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 electrical installations of material handling systems.
- Must be willing to travel 100%.
- Must be reliable and have available transportation to get to job sites.
- Must be willing to take direction and work in a team environment.
