[Mechanical Engineer] Principal Mechanical Process Design Engineer - Aiken, SC

DUTIES
Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to CLIENT. Primary responsibilities include engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to:
Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.
Engineering services shall be provided using CLIENT processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by CLIENT.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

Experience/Skills:
Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience working at one or more DOE facilities.
Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a nuclear industry/facility.
Candidate must demonstrate experience creating and revising documentation in one or more of the following areas:
Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists;
Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.
Candidate must be able to perform weekly field walk-downs of the job site for engineering work being performed.
These walk-downs may involve constructions sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas, dressing out in protective clothing, and environments where a respirator is required.
Previous CLIENT Design Engineering experience and working knowledge of CLIENT design processes and procedures are preferred.
