Title: Technical Project Coordinator – Electrical Systems

Job Summary:
PIC has a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Technical Project Coordinator – Electrical Systems, supporting the construction of several new data center campuses across the US. The Technical Project Coordinator – Electrical Systems will report to the Sr. Program Manager, and have extensive technical experience, and completed more complex, demanding or larger-value projects of various types. In this role, you will act as technical experts for a specific discipline to ensure all related construction activities are performed in accordance with accepted professional standards, and work to solve complex technical field-related problems; managing the equipment startup and commissioning process (V-Start). The Technical Project Coordinator – Electrical Systems will assist in the implementation of the project’s 4-phase quality control plan and monitor field construction of mechanical and / or electrical subcontractors for schedule management and conformance to contract documents, and play a critical role in the on-time, accurate completion of projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support during design and preconstruction to assist owner and Architect Engineer.
• Manage Equipment start up turnaround process V-Start (KAN-BAN)
• Assist in the implementation of the project’s QC Planning and inspection process.
• Monitor Field Construction of Electrical / Mechanical subcontractors for schedule management and conformance to contract documents.
• Provide expert technical support to company personnel as required to resolve field construction or similar problems. May include interpretation of codes, design of specialty equipment, etc.
• Develop, issue and maintain general instructions and guidelines for field construction methods utilizing current industry and company practices.
• Develop and maintain current work controlling documents which set mandatory minimum requirements for work, authority, documentation and record requirements in accordance with applicable codes and contract requirements.
• Review Architectural/Engineering (A/E) specifications and bid inquiries to ensure technical and code requirements for material, equipment and field activities are met.
• Continuously research, evaluate, and recommend implementation of new (or improved) construction processes, equipment, material, techniques and methods as technology improves.
• Participate in constructability reviews of design documents to help determine the most cost effective and schedule efficient method of construction.

• Provides technical input to company functions such as estimating, controls, project management or other areas.
Job Requirements:
• Proficiency in problem solving complex issues requiring diplomacy and tact.
• Adept with managing multiple tasks at once, with extraordinary attention placed on accuracy.
• Exemplary written/verbal communications skills with all levels of personnel internal and external to the project.
• Demonstrated proficiency with a wide variety of computer applications including web-based project management systems, such as MS Project.
• Ability to accept project assignments that may require extended long term temporary living arrangements or frequent travel to job sites where overnight travel is required.
Education / Experience:
• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, not required.
• Engineering Degree/Certification (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred
• 5+ years extensive experience in mechanical and/or electrical discipline
• 5+ years construction experience with emphasis on large industrial structures.
• Candidates with prior IBEW experience have been successful in similar roles and are encouraged to apply
